Trading from Vietnam: what is different
Vietnamese households have long saved in gold, and domestic bar prices often trade at a premium to the world price. International spot gold (XAU/USD) is the benchmark that premium is measured against, and it is the most traded instrument among Vietnamese CFD traders.
The dong is managed by the State Bank of Vietnam against a daily central rate with a trading band, and it is not offered as a CFD. Accounts are held in US dollars.
Vietnam's rules on trading with brokers based abroad are restrictive. Read the section on regulation below carefully, and check the current position before you open an account.
